Lactase 4500 FCC with peppermint - 120 chewable tablets
Lactose intolerance is very widespread worldwide. About three-quarters of
adults around the world have been diagnosed with lactose intolerance.
Lactose intolerance is characterised by the fact that the lactose (milk sugar) contained
in milk and milk products is not or only partially broken down and
digested. The reason for this is the absence or deficiency of the enzyme
lactase, which can lead to unpleasant symptoms.
In individuals who have difficulty digesting lactose, taking lactase improves
lactose digestion.
1000 FCC lactase units break down approx. 5g lactose, which corresponds to 100ml
milk, for example. However, these are only orientation values, which can vary
from person to person. The need for added lactase must be determined
individually. It depends on the body's own lactase production and the amount of
lactose contained in food and beverages.
Affected persons should seek advice on the function of lactase in their
nutrition.
