Enzymes are the engine of our metabolism and organism; without them, many important processes in the body would not take place. They support digestion by breaking down macronutrients, they are involved in metabolism and accelerate chemical reactions in the body without changing. They are divided into the groups of proteases, lipases and amylases. The most popular enzyme is bromelain, the pineapple enzyme.
